Notice Based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions

This notice is published under Article 11 of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions of Japan (Act No. 57 of 1976). It applies to paid subscriptions to Compose PDF. The free plan involves no payment and no charge of any kind.

- Compose PDF — a document template editor and PDF rendering API.
- Price
- As shown on the pricing page, which states the amount for each plan and how consumption tax is applied. Team plans are priced per seat, so the amount charged is the price for one seat multiplied by the number of seats subscribed.
- Charges other than the price
- None from us. You are responsible for your own internet connection and any charges your provider makes for it.
- Accepted payment methods
- Credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.
- When payment is taken
- The first payment is taken when you subscribe. After that, each renewal is charged automatically at the start of the next billing period — monthly or yearly, depending on the term you chose.
- When the service becomes available
- Immediately after payment is confirmed. Where a payment method settles asynchronously, the plan takes effect once we are notified that the payment succeeded.
- Cancellation and refunds
- Fees already paid are not refunded. You may cancel at any time from the billing screen inside the Service; cancelling stops future charges, and the plan stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Because the Service is digital content made available immediately, the statutory cooling-off period for mail order does not apply. Nothing you have created is deleted because a plan ended. If we have charged you in error — a duplicate charge, or a charge taken after cancellation — tell us and we will correct it.
- Operating environment
- A current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, with JavaScript enabled. The rendering API can be called from any HTTP client.
